SUMMARY:
Seeking a Remuneration Specialist with an HR/Financial Degree or equivalent plus 3-5 years experience in Remuneration and Compensation execution, for an EE position based in Cape Town.

POSITION INFO:

Job Role

  • Work across the Remuneration portfolio to deliver flawless execution and governance of core remuneration processes.
  • A key Remuneration Subject Matter Expert that supports the delivery of various Remuneration practices, including but not limited to the strategic and tactical support of the Remuneration and Compensation Execution portfolios.
  • Input into REMCO planning, execution and delivery tracking; competitive REM Benchmarking and Job Evaluation; Share Scheme management, Expatriate package structuring, and ongoing ad hoc day-to-day compensation related delivery.
  • Work closely with colleagues across the Human Resources Team and wider business to provide support with general compensation execution and key reward initiatives, benefits, propositions, data analytics and modelling.

Responsibilities 

  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise and support on various aspects within the REM portfolio including Strategic Rewards solutions and practical, routine compensation execution.
  • Support the timeous and accurate delivery of Remuneration Committee requirements and requests.
  • Building effective partnerships with various REM related stakeholders, Job Evaluation partners, Share Plan Services, and other HR and business stakeholders.
  • Coordination of the expatriate package structuring process.
  • Support the REM team to successfully prepare and execute the annual remuneration review process and internal pay equity review process.
  • Acting within and reviewing of any out of policy exceptions or out of cycle remuneration changes or reward orientated requests.
  • Prepare and maintain the benchmarking process and provide accurate and fair remuneration ranges that are informed by frameworks that support and measure equitable and fair pay structures.
  • Support and guide the development of toolkits and delivery of workshops for the Human Resources team (specifically Human Resources Specialists and Talent Acquisition) to enable enhanced reward understanding.
  • Execute any additional reporting, pay and cost modelling or research oriented activities.

 Requirements

 Qualifications

  • Degree in Human Resources, Finance or equivalent – essential.
  • GRP Certification and SARA accreditation - (preferred).

Experience

  • 3-5 years experience in Remuneration and Compensation execution – essential.
  • Exposure gained within a large scale, Multinational organisation offering a variety of package structuring options, Rewards and Benefits, evolving Governance requirements and transformative talent-oriented REM opportunities - (essential).
  • A proven track record participating within a Strategic, solutions, and research capacity as well as at a practical day-to-day execution level - (essential).

Skills/ Knowledge

  • Knowledge of HR legislation and regulations and the translation of these into policies and procedures - (essential).
  • Strong generalist remuneration application insights and remuneration knowledge - (essential).
  • Business & Financial acumen - The ability to understand financial and economic concepts and to identify, create and exploit opportunities (practical application).
  • Administration, Reporting and interpretation - Key skills to enable effective and efficient administrative processes (sound application). The ability to analyze data, interpret and evaluate results, and create reports or presentations on gathered data (practical application).
  • Analyzing - The ability to systematically analyze information, to understand key business and commercial issues and to develop long term plans to achieve organizational success. The ability to systematically analyze information, identify causal relationships and main themes.
  • Executing - The ability to establish plans, to coordinate and manage resources and to mobilise the actions of others by removing barriers and making clear and timeous decisions. The ability to establish plans to deliver solutions.
