We are looking for a passionate Renewable Energy Attorney who is driven by doing their bit to contribute to people and the planet. Someone who has a deep understanding of EPC and O&M agreements as well as project finance and has the capabilities to head up the legal bidding and financial closing teams. If you want to work for a company that is successful in the REIPPP space in South Africa and has a passion for sustainability, then this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Our client is looking for a highly skilled individual with previous experience working in the IPP space with exposure to both solar PV and wind energy projects. It is non-negotiable that you have 9+ years’ post-admission legal-commercial experience as well as proven experience with renewable projects within the REIPPP program. If you have a strong working knowledge of the latest engineering science and technology within the renewable energy sector, then you are exactly the person we want to talk to. You will have a strong commercial background with an understanding of the key business drivers in the RE environment. Your uncanny ability to negotiate is your superpower and liaising with third parties and their legal advisers will be a piece of cake for you. You will have a take-charge attitude to provide recommendations and advice on avoiding additional costs and if possible, to minimise the costs of legal claims. Composing, negotiating, and ensuring the successful implementation of construction contracts will form part of your responsibilities. It is vital you have experience dealing directly with senior legal representations in order to be able to take lead on any contractual disputes or adjudication claims.
