Reporting Accountant CA(SA)

SUMMARY:
Seeking a Reporting Accountant that is a CA(SA). The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that all Group returns, and financial statements are prepared timeously and accurately.

POSITION INFO:

Qualifications and Experience required:

Minimum 5 years’ experience in Financial reporting

NQF Level 7: Degree in Finance

Honours Degree in Finance (preferred)

CA (SA) preferable

Key Areas of Responsibility

Preparation of Annual Financial Statements

Manage the preparation of annual financial statements process in accordance with accounting standards and in adherence to regulatory and internal timelines.

Oversight of the Audit Process

Manage the end-to-end audit processes

Prepare and collate information and evidence for audit processes

Oversight of the IFRS17 Project

Develop the IFRS17 strategy to ensure compliance within the relevant timelines

Manage the IFRS17 project and rollout in accordance with project requirements and accounting standards

EXCO/Board Reporting

Prepare and submit Board, EXCO and Committee packs in accordance with relevant schedules and delivery of information requests

Provide financial and business insights across the business functions

Provide assistance to the CFO on related matters as and when required

Tax Compliance

Ensure that all tax submissions are submitted in accordance with Tax Act and within relevant timelines

Provide tax support to group initiatives

Ensure accurate data for tax systems

Tracking of KPI Measurement & Incentives

Ensure adequate tracking of company balance scorecard for KPI measurement

Calculate incentive provisions in terms of financials and present to management

Report on the Key Performance indications for the financial reporting function on a monthly basis

Solvency & Liquidity Management

Inform management of regulatory issues (solvency and capital requirements) for the Group
