Reporting Analyst

SUMMARY:
A dynamic financial services provider is seeking a detail-oriented Investment Analyst – Reporting to join their team of investment professionals. The role focuses on performance, compliance, and risk reporting across client portfolios, with a strong emphasis on data accuracy, automation, and analytics.

POSITION INFO:
Job Title: Investment Analyst – Reporting
Reporting To: Head of Quantitative Research

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyse monthly and quarterly performance and compliance reports.
• Design and automate reporting processes.
• Maintain and update performance databases.
• Conduct quality assurance checks on reporting outputs.
• Assist with Regulation 28 and Annexure B reports.
• Provide market summaries and support client presentations.
• Collaborate on quantitative analysis and software development projects.
• Define model specifications and support documentation for Developers.
• Manage the onboarding of new clients from a reporting perspective.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Investments, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 2–5 years' experience in investment reporting or performance analysis.
• Proficiency in Excel; VBA/macros experience advantageous.
• Exposure to performance and risk measurement calculations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Familiarity with Bloomberg and Morningstar Direct (preferred).
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.

• Progress toward CFA Charter.
• Background in pension fund or asset management.
• Programming or advanced Excel skills a plus.
• Interest in financial markets and economic trends.
