JOB SUMMARY:

A specialist ICT Solution provider is looking for a Reports Specialist Team Lead to join their team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Role Purpose:
To lead the reporting team in creating a detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities and solutions. To design and analyse reports across all platforms and data sources for operational teams and clients. Understanding the data in order to develop reporting to identify trends and forecasting to support decision making. To support operational teams in following best practice rules with the use of meaningful data. Additionally, this position will assist with Quality Assurance auditing and produce timely reports on all aspects of service performance, customer satisfaction, and service quality.

Key Accountabilities:

Translate stakeholders requirements into reporting deliverables
Ensure that all data originating from the reporting team is accurate and meaningful to the business.
Gathering raw data from various sources for operations and clients.
Collating such data to facilitate its interpretation.
Checking and cleaning data, taking special care to replace erroneous values with correct figures.
Analysing data, with due consideration for the influence of missing information, confounding variances and extraneous variables.
Reporting on insights obtained, which might be utilized to inform business strategies.
Consulting on areas of uncertainty to promote optimal use of ideas derived from data.
Creating and updating data sets that evolve in alignment with business needs.
Analyse user data needs and determine needs resolved through automated repeatable process.
Deliver ad hoc reports
Participate in evaluating new technologies so as to ensure the advancement of technology architecture and data within organization Business Intelligence needs
Incorporate data analysis into designed ongoing reports

Qualifications and Experience:

Matric
ITIL certified
Strong organizational and analytical skills
5+ years’ relevant IT experience in a service desk or helpdesk environment
5+ years’ experience analysing and managing complex data sets
5+ years’ experience in a leadership role
Working knowledge of ITIL v3 Service Design, Service Strategy, Service Transition, Service Operations and Continual Service Improvement processes
Expert level designing and executing enterprise reports/dashboards using SQL, Excel, PowerPoint Presentations, PowerBI, SAP BI, Remedy etc.
High level functional understanding of Business applications and data structures

Competency Requirements:

Excellent Excel Skills
SQL Skills
SAP BI Knowledge
Excellent PowerBI Knowledge
Data Visualisation
Excellent verbal and written communication.
