JOB SUMMARY:
We are currently assisting a leading Civil Engineering and Projects Managers firm in SA with the recruitment of an experienced Resident Engineer/Civil Engineer who can join their team on a project in the Mpumalanga area.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position : Resident Engineer /Civil Engineer
Location : Mpumalanga Province
Salary : Market Related

Roles and Responsibilities

General project civil and building services construction co-ordination and facilitation
Interaction with design team and assisting with resolution of design queries
To assist with the facilitation of wayleave approvals, service designs and co-ordination
Leading site supervision team
Contract administration
Monitoring and reporting on programme
Other tasks and/or services instructed by the Line Manager to assist in the successful completion of a project or assist in the efficient operation of the Business Unit.
Quality plan assessment and auditing
Site audits, inspections, quality control testing approval/rejection
Measurement and certifying that work is correct
Cash flow forecasting
Managing site meetings and minutes
Public liaison
Management of site OHS, ISO and EMP’s
Completion reports and as built reports
Site quality control
Maintain the QA documentation for the project

Desired Experience & Qualification

B.Tech,B.Eng or BSc, in Civil Engineering
ECSA registered (Pr.Eng / Pr.Tech)
10 plus - years’ experience.
General civil engineering and building services experience required.
Experience with FIDIC forms of contract
Experience on projects working for public sector clients, will be advantageous.
