Resident Engineer (contract)

SUMMARY:
Extendable contract position available for an experienced Electrical Engineer/Technologist in KZN.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements:

1. South African citizen
2. Electrical Engineer qualification
3. Full professional ECSA registration required.
4. Minimum 5 years’ experience with Underground Reticulation & Street Lighting
5. 5 years experience in design & specifications, tender process, contract management, construction supervision & handover)
6. Computer literate
7. Own transport & valid licence
8. Must be a self-starter, be able to work independent/unsupervised within a larger team structure.
9. Must be proficient in English, (read, write, speak)

Duties to include:

• Manage cash flow, project program
• Compile and submit regular status/progress reports
• Manage project related admin.
• Conduct regular site meetings and inspections
• Resolve design issues
• Verify contractor installations quality
• Comply with the designs & specifications.
• Coordinate with contractors, design engineers, the client and other members of the team as may be required.

Position is offered on a contract basis of 12 months, and will most likely be for a 40 month period, or longer based on project requirements.

Position based in Durban - no relocation costs will be covered if you don''t live in the are or wish to relocate.
