Responsible Pharmacist

SUMMARY:
A hospital facility in the south of Durban has a vacancy for an experienced Responsible Pharmacist.

POSITION INFO:
Key duties/responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate execution of managerial support and operational functions of the Pharmacy
• Management of all Pharmacy staff and scheduling of rosters
• Ensure excellent service level standards to Doctors, patients, staff and other stakeholders  
• Dispensing of medication 
• Provide clinical service to the Doctors and nursing staff
• Effective stock management and budget
• Quality control
• Risk management – scheduled drugs
• Ensure compliance with all statutory bodies, rules and regulations and disciplinary codes

• B.Pharm qualification & SAPC registered
• 5 yrs private hospital managerial experience
• Proven record of stock management and financial control
• Ability to perform standby and call-out duties, weekends and public holiday work
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written & verbal)
• Computer proficient (MS Word & MS Excel)
