JOB SUMMARY:
Seeking a dynamic and driven qualified Accountant for a well known multi-national brand.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Seeking a dynamic and driven Accountant for a well known multi-national brand. This entity has exciting projects in the pipeline and the working environment is great.

Responsibilities:

Full management of the Fixed Asset Register in accordance with accounting policies and procedures. New acquisitions, disposals, calculation of depreciation and allocations between departments. Ensuring all assets are adequately insured timeously. Monthly reconciliations and forecasting in conjunction with relevant departments
Calculation and accrual of leases in accordance with straight-lining requirements as well as annual offline for local statutory reporting (IFRS 16 - Leases)
Assist with the preparation of the South African annual budgets, monthly forecasts and 5 year OGSP plans
Monthly processing and reconciliation of Retail Sales and Cost of Sales into Aurora
Monthly update and collation of retail key metrics in the rolling data report
Monthly inventory stock movement reconciliation between Aurora and Raymark POS
Review of retail stock count variances and report to Financial Controller
Preparation of the Retail Global report on a monthly basis
Preparation of Retail GTM report on a weekly basis
Preparation of Monthly Retail P&L actuals and distribution to management
Assist Retail team with Monthly Retail P&L updated rolling forecasts and budgets
Weekly Gross Margin and Sales Analysis for Retail vs Budget and Forecast
Develop and implement additional reporting dashboards for retail when required
Monthly commission and incentive accrual
Review of all expenses and ensuring invoices are captured correctly by the Accounts Payable Manager
Review of retail receipts and sales recon
Review of all service providers and implementation of cost savings initiatives
Maintenance of lease eagle software
Preparation of lease payment schedule in accordance with lease agreements
Assist with projected financials for store renewals, new store openings and Capital Asset Requisitions (CARs)
Monthly eCom P&L actuals and forecasts
Weekly eCom dashboard report
eCom Revenue Share accrual and recon

Requirements

BCom accounting degree or similar
3-4 years commercial experience
Highly developed / advanced Excel skills
Strong reconciliations skills
