Retail Store Assistant

Our client in the Manufacturing Sector, based in Pretoria is looking to employ a Retail Store Assistant to join their team.

Requirements:

• Certificate in Warehouse Management / Sales & Marketing (NQF 5)
• 3 years’ experience in Retail Sales or Marketing.
• Computer Literacy (MS Office Suite; other relevant discipline-specific software programs).
• Knowledge of relevant Stores practices, procedures, and SOPs.
• Diploma in Business Administration / Sales / Marketing (NQF 6) in an ADVANTAGEOUS

Responsibilities:

• Ensures the point-of-sales process runs smoothly by attending to activities in an efficient manner.
• Receives, processes, and organises deliveries according to demand and schedules.
• Ensures stock levels are monitored and restocked as required and in line with demand.
• Performs regular price audits to ensure items are correctly priced and pricing policies are adhered to.
• Maintains an in-depth knowledge of retail items and provide advice and recommendations as needed.
• Maintains a clean, organised, and comfortable retail environment.
• Ensures a high level of customer service and satisfaction through excellent sales service.
• Customer complaints attended to in a professional and timely manner.
• Stock levels monitored – restocked – demands met.
• Price audits performed.
• Pricing of items accurate and aligned with policies.
• Knowledge on availability of retail items (competitive advantage - customer satisfaction and demands are met).
• Customer service and satisfaction levels optimal.
• Operates within controls and procedures in order to ensure the integrity of company.
• Reports risks or areas of concern to management within area of responsibility.
• Promotes compliance with all relevant regulations and procedures to prevent fruitless, wasteful, and irregular expenditure.
• Compliance with applicable regulations and procedures.
• Risks reported to Manager.
• Cost and expenditure monitored – waste minimized.
• Supports the effective and transparent use of financial and other resources.
• Limits expenditure reduces costs and ensures deviations from budgetary limits are reported to direct Manager.
• Availability of documentation and records.
• Compliance with applicable regulations and procedures.
• Cost and expenditure monitored – waste minimized.
