SUMMARY:
This market leader in the retail space sells and promotes a large selection of quality imported and locally manufactured outdoor furniture and accessories to Commercial and Private Sector.

Minimum requirements will entail
- Relevant design or decorating qualification will be advantageous
- Minimum of 2 years practical experience, preferably within a lifestyle furniture retail space (present proof of work/portfolio)
- Must be assertive and have an eye for detail and ability to think creatively
- Strong administration and negotiation skills
- Able to travel to other stores (only if and when so required)
- Working Hours Mon – Friday (08h30 – 17h00)
- Able to work afterhours when required for Promotional Rollouts, Expo shows etc.
- The position requires a physically fit candidate, as the position includes the occasional requirement of lifting and displaying of heavy objects, completing repetitive task and the offloading and packing away/merchandising of stock/supplier deliveries.
- Own transport and valid driver’s licence
Some Key Performance areas will include but not be limited to –
- To present the retail space in a way that maximises sales and provides a good first impression to customers
- Responsible for the total merchandise presentation, the overall business image, building and placement of design elements
- Promote and create imaginative, eye-catching displays of merchandise in the store to attract attention of the customers, leading through the entire store that will encourage them to buy
- Create window, in-store, point of sales displays as well as special promotion displays
- Change displays to promote new products and reflect festive or seasonal themes
- Ensure continuous research on relevant target market & lifestyle ideas and up to date resources for relevant props, lighting, and accessories
- Meet relevant deadlines and ensure to work within budget by negotiating with suppliers
- Ensure that pricing of merchandise is clearly visible in all areas of retail space
- Collaborate with national decorating/visual merchandising team to ensure a unified approach to themes, colours, trends, signage, and pricing concepts
- Ensure active involvement in client décor consultations, this actively promoting the sale of the product
- Manage coordination of stock orders including fabric and soft furnishing monitoring
- Preform inventory management, planning, forecasting and coordination of merchandise
- Responsible for the planning, logistics and coordination of all annual expo/exhibition displays & promotional stands/setups
- Assist clients and sales team with colours and trends, as well as oversee the quotation process
- Responsible for management of pest control with accessories in collaboration with management
- Responsible for all Occupational Health & Safety procedures in line with merchandising and safety of display initiatives
- Report directly into Store Management
Remuneration will include
- R15 – R17K TCTC per month (negotiable depending on experience, skills, qualification, and proven track record)
