SUMMARY:
Retirement funds / Employee Benefits Team leader wanted in Durban

POSITION INFO:

Job Purpose: Manage a full portfolio for a fund/s in order to meet the Service Provider Agreement SPA’s. Assist with the management of business processes by solving day-to-day problems; checking, and verifying data and action the first authorisation of payments for claims as required

KPAs / Key outputs ï‚· Process monthly contribution updates for specific funds ï‚· Section 13A – Identify all participating employers with outstanding payments and /or schedules liaise with Fund accounts and notify the Fund monitoring person ï‚· Effect investment Switches ï‚· Maintain updated filing ï‚· Process all Termination and Retirement claims ï‚· Process all Death and Funeral claims ï‚· Process Unclaimed Benefits ï‚· Process group/individual transfers in accordance with Section 14. ï‚· Process Divorce Settlement claims ï‚· Process Agterskort and Surplus claims ï‚· Action the first authorisation of payments for claims ï‚· Prepare Benefit Statements ï‚· Prepare administration reports ï‚· Attend to customer queries ï‚· Proactively identify opportunities for new business within the Fund ï‚· Prepare and compile Year-end working papers ï‚· Process all claims and contribution updates as per company processes and procedures ï‚· Follow admin standards as per client SPA Qualifications and Experience ï‚· Matric and/or equivalent qualification, Certificate of Proficiency in Retirement funds (COP) ï‚· 3 years’ experience in similar or work related position with good knowledge of Employee Benefits ï‚· Computer literacy – Advanced Office ï‚· Good understanding of Administration systems (Everest will be advantage) Page 2 of 2 Skills & Behavioural attributes ï‚· Attention to detail and high level of accuracy ï‚· Ability to work under pressure ï‚· Self-starter & excellent organising skills ï‚· Good verbal, written and communications skills ï‚· Committed and reliable with integrity ï‚· Telephone etiquette and client liaison Short listed applicants will be called for interviews and be assessed for competency.
