Rigger: Saudi Arabia, Al Amar

SUMMARY:
Our client in the mining industry is urgently looking to appoint as a Rigger in Saudi Arabia in their Company in the middle East. The successful incumbent will be responsible to move heavy equipment or machinery to the required location without causing any form of damage to the product being transported, property, or individuals.

POSITION INFO:

Desired Experience and qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent including specialized training in rigging systems and practices.
• Significant work experience as a rigger, 2+ years
• City and Guilds Qualifications in Electrical Engineering – Medium and Heavy Current
• Certification in HV Switching 
• Industrial Registration as an Electrician

• Identify hazards and risk while performing daily tasks and maintenance and take preventative measures.
• Do FLRA.
• Comply with legislative and operational requirements.
• Adhere to the company''s environmental management program.
• Align, level, and anchor machinery.
• Attach loads to rigging to provide support or prepare them for moving, using hand and power tools.
• Attach pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures such as beams, ceilings, and gin pole booms, using bolts and clamps.
• Requirements include physical fitness, commercial driving experience, spatial awareness, well-developed communication and teamwork skills, and the ability to adhere to safety rules and precautions.
• English Language Proficiency
• Time management skills

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Candidates must be safety-oriented and dedicated to doing their job as efficiently as possible.
• Ensuring that rigging equipment is dismantled and properly stored after use.
• Carrying out tests on rigging equipment occasionally to ensure safety and reliability.
• Rigger is to move heavy equipment or machinery to the required location without causing any form of damage to the product being transported, property, or individuals.
• Communicating with workers that are engaged in the process of hoisting and moving loads, to ensure the safety of workers and materials.
• Perform all work in a manner that meets Health and Safety Requirements
• Complete required documentation of Checklists and Inspections for Lifting equipment
• Supports the achievement of engineering availability and production performance levels.
• Ensure that maintenance related information is recorded and reported to the relevant planning office to support the maintenance of the planned/asset maintenance system.
• Ensure adherence to engineering quality and Safety standards of equipment and machinery.
• Coach and assist with on-the-job training assistants, SMP and learner ships e.g., safety, technical training.
• Communicate with supervisors and process/engineering co-workers to inform on work in progress and condition of machinery/equipment.
