POSITION INFO:

A well known, Financial Services giant, with offices both in Cape Town & Johannesburg, is in search of a soon to be CA(SA) or a Recently Qualified CA(SA) to get the opportunity to fill a Risk Analyst role. This role will support and work closely with the Chief Risk Officer in driving effective risk management practices across a multifaceted insurance platform. This role demands a self-starter with strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to influence key stakeholders. If you excel in problem-solving, thrive on challenges, and are passionate about delivering value-added insights, this opportunity is perfect for you. This role can be based in either their JHB or Cape Town offices.

Responsibilities:

Design, implement, review and improve risk management strategies, policies and processes
Plan, execute and manage risk reviews and analysis, both financial and operational
Organise and draft risk reporting and executive summaries, internally and externally
Advise management in identifying and quantifying risks
Assist management to mitigate exposure to risks
Build relationships with the respective management teams

Requirements:

Newly qualified CA(SA) - or if you have written APC and waiting results
Risk management experience within articles would be highly beneficial
Knowledge of the Insurance Act and Prudential Standards highly beneficial
