Great opportunity to join a global Asset Manager as a Risk Analyst in Cape Town. 

This role is responsible for assisting the Risk Manager in facilitating the roll out of the Operational Risk Standards across the South African business.

This is an EE designated opportunity. 

Some key role functions:

• Identification, assessment and monitoring of key risks and emerging risks 
• Assessment of the adequacy and effectiveness of current controls
• Regular engagement with third-party service providers and vendors regarding risks affecting the business
• Assist in the design of scenarios which could have a material financial and reputational impact to determine potential capital requirements
• Analysis and reporting of Key Risk Indicators
• Capturing, assessing, monitoring, reporting, and escalating operational risk events 
• Ensure that any changes to the Operational Risk Standards are rolled out 

Key requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Commerce or Risk Management
• 3 - 5 years’ experience in Risk Management or Audit 
• Experience working on MetricStream or OpenPages 
• Excellent communication and numerical skills. 
• Technical understanding of financial products and instruments
