SUMMARY:
A dynamic and growing Financial Services firm is looking to appoint a Group Accountant to join their finance team. This role is ideal for a technically strong accounting professional who enjoys working across the full finance function and taking ownership of reporting processes.
POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting packs
- Full ledger to trial balance responsibility
- Draft annual financial statements in line with applicable standards
- Preparation and submission of VAT and tax returns
- Maintain and improve financial controls and processes
- Liaise with auditors and support year-end processes
Requirements:- Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles
- Experience with VAT and tax compliance
- Ability to manage the full accounting cycle independently
- High attention to detail with strong analytical skills
Advantageous:- Experience within Financial Services
- Exposure to multi-entity environments
