SAIPA Accountant / bookkeeper

Our client in Stikland Industrial is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join their dynamic team! We are looking for a professional with a BCom degree or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of post-article experience in accounting. Candidates must have completed their SAIPA articles with an accredited accounting firm. Bilingual proficiency in English and Afrikaans is essential. REQUIREMENTS:

• BCom degree or equivalent
• 2+ years’ post article experience in accounting preferable
• Must have completed SAIPA (South African Institute of Professional Accountants) articles with an accounting firm
• Bilingual (English & Afrikaans)

• Ability to use logic and reason to identify the strength and weaknesses of alternative solutions

• Asset management.
• Stock management and control.
• Assisting FM with management accounts, forecasts and budgets.
• Assist the Financial Manager with analysis of business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, R&D project expenses and provide advice to lab managers.
• Assist the Financial Manager to monitor record-keeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology (automation).
• Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards within the company.
• Report to Financial Manager and MD regarding any anomaly in the finance department.
• Ensuring that access to financial information is always restricted.
• Delegate filing to the appropriate finance staff member to prevent it from accumulating, and to ensure effective filing management.
• Managing the accounting of product development.
