JOB SUMMARY:
Our client, an international retail software solutions company is currently on the market for a SAP Retail Operations/CAR Consultant to join their growing team. This is a role which involves working largely on your own initiative or as part of a SAP design/service team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Purpose of the Role:

You will design, implement and deploy SAP CAR solutions to achieve defined business goals. You will be involved in full cycles, large-scale and end-to-end international projects within a designated team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Support the entire implementation effort during all project stages, ensuring that in areas of assigned responsibility milestones and related sign-offs are achieved on a timely basis and in accord with current project plan
Develop functional specifications, review developments and enhancements required within SAP CAR and test those
Optimization and further development of the internal SAP system landscape
Support the project teams in integrating company's products into existing SAP systems
As an SAP expert you are required to advise customers in the use of SAP standard solutions
Support colleagues in the further development of existing products
Analysis and implementation of OmniChannel processes based on the SAP solution portfolio
Develop and implement together with the internal product teams new solutions for the customer, based on CAR
Able to work with both an internal team and also the customer’s team and their partners to deliver a world-class solution

Knowledge and Experience:

5+ years experience working in a similar role
Experience in the field of SAP MM / SD
Experience in POSDTA and SLT
Experience in IDOCs and web services
Experience in the field of ABAP development

Skills and Attributes:

Excellent business standard language in English, oral and written
Comprehensive IT skills
Interest in new technologies
Ability to speak in German is a strong advantage
Analytical skills – ability to identify problems
Good time management skills
Change management skills to ensure that there is high co-operation within the customer environment
Strong analytical, mathematical and fault-finding skills Innovative in finding solutions to problems
Fully computer literate (Office: Outlook, Excel, Power Point)
Strong documentation and meticulous record keeping, including notes from all meetings and decisions taken in projects. Given it is an international project team, documentation is critical to common alignment and achieving results
Able to establish a trust relationship with the client
Able to handle situations of conflict and conflict resolution
Ability to take the initiative and self-teach and obtain the necessary skills in learning the internal systems such as JIRA, Confluence etc. in support of project delivery and management
Knowledge of SAP technologies

Educational Qualifications:

University degree or tertiary equivalent with a focus on business informatics / computer science or comparable education with corresponding professional experience
SAP CAR/Retail Certification is an added advantage
