SAP Consultant - SAP ABAP Developer and Basis Expert (1287)

POSITION INFO:
The Role:

We are looking for an SAP Consultant - SAP ABAP Developer and Basis Expert for a 12-month fixed term contract Position with our client based in Centurion/Pretoria.

 

Willing and able to travel for up to 2 weeks at a time (Internationally) with a Valid Driverâ??s License.

 

We require a minimum 8 yearsâ?? work experience in:

• Strong ABAP Development skills including but not limited to:
• Clean CodeABAP OO â?? strong skills in in using methods and classes
• SAP Software quality Tools (SCI, ATCâ?¦)
• Experiences in test driven development advantageous
• Authorisations and Security
• UI5, Fiori, Java Script
• IDOCs
• Trouble shooting and debugging skills
• Preparation of testing documents and perform internal testing.
• Go-live preparation and post Go-live support
• Experience working with SAP Solution Manager â?? especially CHARM
• Agile and DEVOPS experience
• Operations experience (ticket handling, problem, incident management)
• Jira and Confluence experience (Xray advantageous)
• Build management experience
• In addition know-how in the following modules: SAP MM (specially MRP ) and all ECC modules

 

Minimum educational level:

• Degree in IT or relevant experience

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• We are looking for a SAP developer for our Logistics enabling team to assist the team in creating sustainable solutions in this space of the PKT2025 system solution
• You will be required to analyse existing solutions/challenges and make proposals in line with Company Group Security and Master solution guidelines
• Your role includes monitoring SAP core functions, such as work processes, RFC- and ALE configuration, job scheduling and DB management system and develop solutions for improving and stabilizing those
• Related documentation in line with company guidelines is mandatory and all development must comply with company SAP Development guidelines
• ITSM processes and procedures must be followed
• Our working model is following an Agile approach
• As a SAP Developer, you should be interested in learning new development languages in parallel to classic ABAP OO development
• Solutions have to be holistically considered and re-used in other Group systems and thus be modular and easily adaptable
• On occasion weekend work or after hours may be required to cater for our international clients but is not the norm
