SAP Consultant - SAP MM Functional Consultant (Project)

POSITION INFO:
The Role:

We are looking for an SAP Consultant - SAP MM Functional Consultant for a 12-month fixed term contract Position with our client based in Centurion/Pretoria.

 

Willing and able to travel for up to 2 weeks at a time (Internationally) with a Valid Driverâ??s License.

 

Minimum educational level:

• Degree in IT or relevant experience
• SAP MM Certification

 

We require a minimum 5 yearsâ?? work experience in:

• SAP MM (Material planning)
• SAP SD
• SAP PP
• SAP WM
• SAP MM Configuration
• Development documentation
• Analyse and solve SAP MM issues
• Conduct SAP MM process configuration
• Update and maintain all SAP MM functional documentation
• Analyse and scope End-user authorisation roles
• Conduct Unit tests, Integration tests and System Integration security tests
• Proactively propose solutions to improve the support of (new) business processes
• Support the functional team with issues and provide a solutions-based approach

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Understand the business requirements, preparing AS-IS, and TO-BE documents and get sign-off from users for Business Blueprint document
• Setting up the organization structure of Materials Management and perform all relevant configuration for ex Purchase Organisation, Valuation Area Plants, Storage Location and Warehouse structure, etc.
• Finalisation of Material Groups, Purchasing Groups, Payment Terms, Inco Terms and Pricing Procedure
• Define and set up RSA taxation structure
• Finalisation of various number ranges for Material Master, Vendor Master and all purchasing and inventory documents
• Configuration of release procedure for purchasing documents ex. Purchase Requisitions and Purchase orders
• Preparation of testing documents and perform internal testing
• Preparation of Master Data templates for various objects like Material Master, Vendor Master, Excise Master, Info- records, Source List and Purchase Orders.
• Integration testing with other modules ex. PP, SD and FI/CO
• Preparing the cut over strategy for MM objects
• Preparing User manuals and conducting training to business process owners
• Go-live preparation and post Go-live support
• Interaction with clients through meetings, calls and emails
• Handling Tickets and Tasks with the responsibility for closing the same within defined SLAâ??s (Service Level Agreements)
• Responsible for troubleshooting issues for the system and providing support
• Executing the required changes through configuration
• Executing the analysis and resolution of Production Support calls
• Raising Change Requests (CRâ??s) and writing Functional Specifications for them
• Preparing test data for testing of CRâ??s (Change Requests)
• Testing CRâ??s (Change Requests) and preparing test results
• Carrying out regression testing
• Interact with consultants of other modules
