SUMMARY:
SAP ESS MSS

POSITION INFO:

SAP Portal (Employee SelfService and Manager Self-Service ) Functional / Application Support Specialist to provide SAP Portal maintenance and support services. Preference will be given to a Functional / Application Support Specialists who is strong SAP ESS/MSS portal in Microsoft environment. The required Functional / Application Support Specialists will be part of Commission’s SAP ERP maintenance and support team.

The required SAP Portal, ESS/MSS technical/functional consultant’s role will be centered around database and performance administration and management as characterized by the following functions:

3.2.1 Primary Skills
Operating Software administration as per SAP requirement

3.2.2 Key Accountabilities
a) Team member of the Technical Delivery SAP Basis
b) Provide Operational Excellence for Technical Delivery in the areas SAP Basis, Solution Manager, Monitoring, Portal, SQL Database, understanding and if required developing Scripting and other infrastructure elements
c) Work with technical delivery support colleagues, assess operational quality, identify gaps, and manage closure of gaps in SAP Basis area, including
1) Ensure effective Error Trend Analysis and Problem Management
2) Provide support for Major Incident Management and ensure timely resolution of Major Incidents
3) Ensure SAP functional best practices are adhered to during Incident and Problem investigation and resolution
4) Provide technical feasibility and appropriateness of proposed incident & problem resolutions when alternative solutions are available
5) Provide capability to perform incident & problem management resolution activities as appropriate in exceptional circumstances
6) Provide appropriate assessment of SAP OSS notes with regard to relevance for Operations
7) Perform detailed planning & project management of implementation activities for updates & patching where required
d) Perform system health audits to validate system status & report to Basis Team Lead
