SAP HCM Application Manager -(EE) Cape Town

SUMMARY:
Seeking a SAP HCM Application Manager with an IT Degree/Diploma and 10-12 years related experience for an EE position based in Cape Town.

POSITION INFO:

Job Role

Build the new operating model and organizational design in support of new technologies within the HCM portfolio.The SAP HCM system consists of all the HCM modules on premise as well as an integrated hybrid cloud solution using HCI integration.

Responsibilities

• Platform availability, performance as well as development, build and delivery.
• The SAP HCM ERP and SAP SF Talent Hybrid Solution within the Group.
• Keeping the system up to date with increasing HCM compliance changes as well as to stay aligned to the IT Governance model.
• Managing demand for integration to other systems on the rise.
• Shaping the target operating model to align with business demands and the project pipeline.
• Establishing the platform and capability, take control in leading a team focusing on applications and integration in a high-performing SAP HCM working environment for the Group.
• Reshaping the SAP HCM function within Group IT.

 

• Help define and shape the Target operating model to ensure alignment with the Group HR project and Group Business requirements.
• Establish internal capability to deliver the platform as a service. This includes acquiring and retaining talent.
• Help define development and data management standards within the cluster.
• Work closely with the Group architects by collaborating on frameworks, architecture and designs.
• Manage 3rd Parties and outsource partners.
• Build strong supporting relationships with vendors to enable the platform.
• Ensure that a sound security posture is enforced for the platform covering aspects such as role based access control, data backup and recovery.

Administration

• Ensure that the Service Levels are maintained in accordance withSLAcommitments
• Manage on-site and off-site sub-contractors in diverse environments
• Define Financial reporting metrics
• Ensure project methodology standards are maintained Negotiate, plan and manage Group projects and other related activities
• Manage user expectations and relationships
• Compile and document a strategic plan/roadmap for SAP HCM Services.

Duties

• Develop a strategic direction for HCM systems development and application platform support.
• Demonstrate that awareness of trends in HCM systems within the financial services industry and elsewhere are considered and appropriately reflected in the HCM Support Services strategy, differentiating the company from its competitors (continuous improvement ensured)
• Ensure that SAP HCM Solutions and directions are researched and considered in recommendations. Alignment to SAP HCM Solution Roadmap.
• Ensure that client liaison mechanisms/channels with the business established, maintained and utilized to identify and address HCM System requirements
• Ensure that Release, Incident and SAP Change Control Board governance is adhered to.
• Ensure alignment and integration of all HCM processes, practices and systems.
• Ensure that the SAP HCM system is updated and aligned with HCM regulatory/compliance changes.
• Develop and maintain the system disaster recovery plan and process for system recovery
• Manage license with 3rd parties and Vendors.
• Vendor Management, example SAP, Focus 1 and BCX etc.
• Demonstrate effective SAP technical team lead/leadership to ensure SAP technical resources are up skilled, multi-skilled and backups are in place for sustainability – system maintenance, support, testing, development and documentation according toSLA’s.
• Ensure project management discipline, ensuring that all development and projects are delivered according to scope and timelines.
• Keep business and users constantly informed of changes/updates to the system
• Ensure that SAP HCM System authorizations access is assessed, and controlled according to  IT Governance.
• Ensure operation uptimeSLA’s are achieved.
• Manage incidents and requests.
• Ensure Change management control is enforced.
• Attend the necessary operational and change forums.
• Engage with IT and Project stakeholders to ensure alignment in terms of business requirements and supply of services.
