SUMMARY:
A specialist is required to take ownership of all SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) master data and technical documentation, ensuring the integrity, accuracy and reliability of asset information across a complex engineering environment.
POSITION INFO:
This fixed-term role may lead to a permanent appointment for an internal incumbent.
You will manage the full lifecycle of PM master data, including Functional Locations, Equipment Masters, Bills of Materials, and Preventive Maintenance Plans, while supporting maintenance execution, reliability improvement, and statutory compliance. The role also includes conducting electrical or mechanical inspections to validate asset information and enhance the performance of plant equipment.
Success requires a combination of SAP PM expertise, engineering insight, precision in documentation, and the ability to work closely with maintenance, reliability, and project teams to optimise the integrity of the CMMS.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 plus SAQA-accredited N6 or S4 in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- 3–5 years’ experience in maintenance or engineering environments (mining or manufacturing advantageous).
- Hands-on experience with mechanical or electrical inspections and measurements.
- SAP PM proficiency (training/certification advantageous).
- Strong understanding of preventive/predictive maintenance principles and technical documentation control.
- Advanced MS Excel; AutoCAD exposure beneficial.
- Excellent accuracy, problem-solving and communication skills.
