  The Role:

  We are looking for an SAP SD DevOps Consultant for a 12-month fixed term contract Position with our client based in Centurion/Pretoria.

   

  Willing and able to travel for up to 2 weeks at a time (Internationally) with a Valid Driverâ??s License.

   

  Minimum educational level:

  • Degree in IT or relevant experience
  • SAP SD certification

   

  We require a minimum 5 yearsâ?? work experience in:

  • SAP Sales Distribution
  • SAP Materials Management (advantageous)
  • MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Project, Visio PowerPoint)
  • JIRA and Confluence

   

  Skills and Experience:

  Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understanding the business requirements, preparing AS-IS and TO-BE documents and getting sign-off from users for functional and/or technical design document(s)
  • Executing the required changes through SAP configuration
  • Preparing test data for testing of User Stories
  • Execute and/or support testing activities, for example: unit testing, system integration tests, user acceptance testing security testing
  • Analyse and scope End-user authorisation roles
  • Preparing User manuals and conducting training to business process owners
  • Preparing the cut over strategy, e.g. data migration, for SAP objects
  • Go-live preparation and post Go-live support
  • Interaction with clients through meetings, calls and emails
  • Receiving, troubleshooting, resolving and closing Operational and Maintenance tickets within defined SLAâ??s (Service Level Agreements)
  • ABAP debugging beneficial (Workbench related knowledge of new development/enhancements)
  • Interact with consultants of other modules
  • Update and maintain documentation as an existing systemâ??s functionality is changed
  • Proactively propose solutions to improve the support of (new) business processes
  • Support interfaces between the Java platform and SAP, for example through O-Data
