SUMMARY:
SENIOR ADMINISTRATOR: STUDENT FEES: ALICE CAMPUS - REF NO: 72 Applications are invited from qualified and experienced candidates for the above-mentioned permanent position in the student accounts section:

POSITION INFO:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES:

·         Grade 12 plus 3 Year National Diploma / Degree in Commerce majoring in Accounting / Finance.

·         5 Years’ experience in a student finance division at a Higher Education Institution

·         Basic supervisory skills

·         Advanced knowledge of ITS (student system).

·         Good interpersonal as well as sound communication skills

 

Responsibilities Include:

·         Ensures that all procedures and policies of the Student Accounts Office are in place and adhered to

·         Performs monthly reconciliations

·         Supervises Student Accounts Staff in the absence of the HOD

·         Keeps our debt collectors up to date with the payments received from old debtors

·         Undertakes on-going communication to students relating to all aspects of student income and to ensure the prompt and accurate dispatch of statements

·         Ensures that all Fees charged are correct and that all students are charged accordingly

·         Implements principles of customer care in assisting and advising students

·         Captures ITS data affecting Student Accounts, to ensure accurate and prompt amendments

·         Ensures that all journals are processed onto ITS in alignment with different account types
