SENIOR BOOKKEEPER / ACCOUNTANT

SUMMARY:
A leading company in the restaurant industry has an exciting opportunity available for a motivated accountant to join their team.

This position will be based at their head office in the V & A Waterfront, however a semi-remote working option can be discussed.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

• Daily sales recons
• Cash controls and banking recons
• Full payroll function
• Auditing of daily cash and sales control sheets
• Computation of gross profit calculations
• Petty cash recons
• Loading of EFT’s
• Recon of creditors on weekly or COD
• Bookkeeping up to trial balance
• Annual audit reporting
• Submission of monthly and quarterly returns for SARS
• Management accounts

• A relevant tertiary degree in Accounting
• Completed articles preferred (SAIPA / SAICA)
• Hospitality industry experience will count in your favour
• At least 3+ years’ experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of Pastel
• Knowledge of Micros point of sale and back of house would be a recommendation but is not a necessity

• Acting as a sound board for the MD
• Excellent attention to detail
• Honest and reliable
• Ability to handle a high level of discretion
