SENIOR OPTOMETRIST (HPCSA REGISTERED) l JOHANNESBURG SOUTH

HPCSA Registered, Senior Optometrist required for a well-stablished and busy Optometry Practice in Johannesburg South. Applicants must have more than 5 years’ experience in conducting eye examinations using optometric equipment and general diagnostic interpretation, work well in a team and under pressure.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations
• Detect defects in vision, ocular disease and abnormality
• Prescribe accurate vision aids
• Prescribe, fit and adjust contact lenses
• Ensuring patients receive correct eyewear according to prescription
• Recommend appropriate patient health care and follow-up options

Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• B. Optom degree
• HPCSA registration
• 5 years and more experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Bi-lingual and Portuguese will be an advantage

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday 09h00 – 18h00
• Saturday 09h00 – 15h00
• Sunday 10h00 – 13h00

Salary:

• R 37 000 per month
