SENIOR SHEQ CONTROLLER - PIETERMARITZBURG

RedCat Recruitment is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced SENIOR SHEQ CONTROLLER for a company based in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Grade 12.

Valid driver’s license / own reliable transport is essential.

Relevant qualifications an added advantage but not essential.

Competent computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet).

Report on health and safety incidents on a weekly basis.

Plan and organise yearly medicals.

Organise yearly health and safety trainings.

Plan and organise servicing emergency equipment.

Order PPE supplies / consumables.

Lead and report risk assessment for the site.

Implement and lead ISO 9001:2015 reviews.

Plan and carry out SHEQ audit.

Check that first off (cutting and printing) approvals were carried out by relevant staff members.

Track and report, weekly, consumption of utilities.

Check that incoming and outgoing goods have been inspected by Quality Controller.

Perform physical check that cutting, printing and stitching meets quality standard / specification.

Perform a 2-hourly check on quality control team and process controller activities e.g. forms.

Train quality team on quality procedures and defects.

Monitor sample / trial production and perform final inspection.

Plan, lead investigation of customer complaints.

Report and share customer complaint trends, every quarter, with employees.

Carry out and report Supply Corrective Action Report (SCAR) for defected materials.

Track and report wastage, monthly and adhoc.

Organise calibration of equipment.

Perform weekly verification of scales.

Plan and organise traceability studies / exercises.

Check sign offs against use of repurposed / substituted materials.
