SENIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

Our client is looking to appoint a Senior Developer who can carry out the technical E-commerce web development and systems support role. You will be responsible for investigative work and to seek effective IT business solutions and organize the implementation through improvements in information systems, data management, processes/procedures, organisation and equipment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):

• Systems Development: Ensure an effective Systems Design and a solid Development Solution
• Change Management: Change / Testing / Release Management
• Business Process Understanding: Analyze the regulation of related business operations and processes

Design and Develop

• Work with team members to gather and interpret user/system requirements into design specifications
• Design, build, assemble, and configure application or technical architecture components using business requirements and technical programming standards
• Develop system specifications and interfaces for complex components
• Ensure smooth communication from/ to the technical Lead and Systems Development Manager
• Create operational documentation for the application
• Provide primary support for installation of application releases into production
• Maintain applications according to SLAs or other business requirements
• Conduct project risks and issues management (status reporting, issue reporting, problem reporting) for assigned scope of work

Work across the Service Delivery Lifecycle

• Work across the Service Delivery Lifecycle on development solutions for new system rollouts, major/minor enhancements, and/or ongoing maintenance of existing applications
• Analyse, design, build, and/or test new components or enhancements to existing modules
• Works with small to medium teams and/or work efforts
• Requires analysis and solving of moderately complex problems. May create new solutions, leveraging and, where needed, adapting existing methods and procedures
• Requires understanding of the strategic direction set by management as it relates to Operational and team goals.
• Provides technical expertise and guidance to support systems in production
