SERVICE ADMINISTRATOR

Company situated in Wadeville, Germiston area urgently seeking a Service Administrator.

POSITION INFO:

Position Summary:
The Service Administrator will provide administrative and operational support to the Service Department, ensuring smooth coordination of service activities, accurate documentation, and excellent customer service. This role requires a detail-oriented and organized individual with strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate service requests, bookings, and scheduling for customer equipment and maintenance.
• Serve as the first point of contact for customers regarding service inquiries, updates, and follow-ups.
• Prepare and manage service documentation, including service reports, work orders, and invoicing.
• Liaise with service technicians, parts department, and management to ensure timely completion of service jobs.
• Maintain accurate records of service history, equipment details, and customer information in the company system.
• Monitor service performance and provide regular updates to management.
• Assist in procurement of spare parts and tracking of inventory related to service operations.
• Handle internal and external communications professionally, including emails, phone calls, and correspondence.
• Support the Service Manager with ad hoc administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent; additional administrative or business-related qualifications are an advantage.
• Previous experience in a service or administration role within industrial, logistics, or equipment-based companies preferred.
• Strong computer literacy (MS Office Suite, ERP systems, or similar).
• Excellent organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in all administrative tasks.
