POSITION INFO:

A leading industrial and manufacturing company is looking for a dynamic and results-driven SHE Manager to drive compliance and enhance safety culture across operations.

Key Requirements:

Degree/Diploma in Safety & Environmental Engineering.
OHSA 18001 or NOSA Certification (ISO 14001 required for environmental functions)
Qualified Systems Auditor with knowledge of ISO, BEE, LRA, and OHSA compliance
Strong background in audit procedures, legal workshops, and risk assessment methodologies
Ability to develop safety policies, lead SHE teams, and engage with external auditors & regulatory bodies
10+ years in Occupational Health & Safety, with 5+ years in manufacturing/process industries
3+ years in SHE Management & Administration

Key Responsibilities:

SHE Management Systems: Oversee OHSAS 18001/NOSA & ISO 14001 compliance, ensuring best practices in SHE management
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), BEE, LRA, and environmental legislation
Audits & Risk Management: Conduct internal audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and non-conformance reporting
Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with labour inspectors, SABS, BBBEE consultants, environmental agencies, and regulatory authorities
Training & Awareness: Lead employee SHE training programs and drive safety culture transformation
Security Management: Monitor external security service providers, investigate incidents, and recommend security improvements
Incident Investigation & Reporting: Ensure root cause analysis, corrective actions, and risk mitigation plans are in place
Continuous Improvement: Review and enhance SHE strategies to maintain compliance and operational excellence.
