SUMMARY:
We’re looking for a seasoned SHEQ Department Manager to lead and elevate our commitment to Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality standards within our label printing operations. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this pivotal role ensures legal compliance, certification management, and continuous operational improvements.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

Compliance & Certification:

Ensure full compliance with legal requirements, company policies, the POPI Act, Legal Metrology Act, and COIDA.
Maintain ISO 22000 and implement FSC Chain of Custody Certification.
Manage EWASA registration and oversee Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Health & Safety Leadership:

Conduct site inspections and audits.
Supervise cleaning staff and ensure Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) compliance.

Continuous Improvement & Risk Oversight:

Monitor and refine SHEQ-related processes.
Oversee the Non-Conformance Reporting System (NCRS) and escalate business risks.

Training & Documentation:

Write and update procedures and reports.
Deliver training programs to promote awareness and compliance.

Requirements:

Matric Certificate.
ISO 9001/ISO 22000 Certification in Quality Systems Implementation & Auditing.
5–10 years in SHEQ management (preferred).
3–5 years in ISO Quality Systems.
Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle (non-negotiable).
Proficient in Microsoft 365, Syspro, and Legal Metrology.
Strong knowledge of FSC Certification, COIDA, and procedure writing.
