SUMMARY:

We are seeking a SHEQ (Health and Safety + Quality assurance) professional to join our team in Western Cape.

POSITION INFO:

SHEQ (Health and Safety + Quality assurance)

Report to: Head Engineer
Location: Cape Town
Type: Permanent

Duties and Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance
- Develop, implement, and maintain QA processes and procedures.
- Conduct inspections and quality checks on processes and products.
- Write and update SOPs, collaborate with production teams for issue resolution.
- Monitor and report on quality performance data.
- Ensure compliance with standards, regulations, and policies.
- Provide training to staff, investigate customer complaints, conduct audits.
- Perform sporadic production checks and follow through on HSE improvements.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Develop, implement and maintain HSE policies in line with ISO standards.
- Conduct risk assessments, lead incident investigations, organize safety drills.
- Conduct HSE training programs, ensure proper use of PPE and safety protocols.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with local and national HSE regulations, maintain records and permits.
- Stay updated with fire codes, environmental legislation, and industry practices.
