SUMMARY:
We are seeking a recent graduate who has completed a BSc Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Sciences, or a related field to join our client’s team for an 18-month SHEQ Graduate Internship Programme. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated graduate looking to gain practical workplace experience within Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality processes in a professional working environment.
The successful candidate will gain exposure to SHEQ administration, compliance processes, inspections, reporting, and overall operational support while working alongside experienced professionals within the industry.

POSITION INFO:
Duties & Responsibilities

Assist with SHEQ administrative functions and documentation.
Support the implementation and maintenance of SHEQ policies and procedures.
Assist with safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
Help ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
Maintain SHEQ records, reports, and incident documentation.
Assist with toolbox talks, safety meetings, and staff awareness initiatives.
Support environmental and quality management processes.
Monitor and report on workplace hazards and non-conformances.
Assist with incident investigations and corrective action follow-ups.
Ensure that SHEQ files and compliance documents are kept up to date.

Requirements

Completed BSc Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a BSc in Environmental Sciences.
SAMTRAC certificate will be advantageous.
Recently graduated and seeking workplace experience
Strong administrative and organisational skills
Excellent communication skills
Computer literate in Microsoft Office
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
