SHEQ OFFICER – MINING (AA Only)

SUMMARY:
To prevent and minimize accidents, dangerous occurrences and non-conformances in respect of safety, health, environmental, risk and quality standards and to assist line management with the updating and maintaining of the SHERQ systems and procedures

POSITION INFO:

Assist Management through the following duties:

• Inspections

• SHERQ adherence and compliance in own area of work

Qualifications and requirements:

• Grade 12
• Competent A Certificate Surface Mining
• National Diploma Safety Management / Risk Management or equivalent
• Blasting Certificate / Rock Breaking MQA equivalent qualification (Desired)
• Artisan Trade Test (Red Seal) (Desired)

Experience

• Minimum of seven (7) years operational Safety / SHERQ Officer experience in a Mining / Engineering environment
• Minimum of two (2) years operational Risk assessment experience in a Mining / Engineering environment
