An industry-leading client is looking for a dynamic SHERQ Manager to join their operations team. This role plays a pivotal part in embedding a strong SHERQ culture by implementing robust management systems, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring legal compliance across operational sites.

The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in SHERQ leadership and a passion for risk management, stakeholder engagement, and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor SHERQ frameworks and systems across operations
• Drive compliance with ISO standards (9001, 14001, OHSAS 18001)
• Lead risk mitigation strategies and ensure zero harm
• Develop and roll out occupational wellness programmes
• Analyse SHE data to identify trends and improve safety performance
• Guide and mentor SHERQ Officers, uplifting capability across teams
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor''s degree in Mining Engineering, Chemistry, Safety, or similar
• Minimum 5 years’ SHERQ experience in a mining or explosives environment
• Proven experience in ISO implementation and compliance
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Solid understanding of ESG practices
• Process Safety Certificate (advantageous)
