An industry-leading client is looking for a dynamic SHERQ Manager to join their operations team. This role plays a pivotal part in embedding a strong SHERQ culture by implementing robust management systems, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring legal compliance across operational sites.

The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in SHERQ leadership and a passion for risk management, stakeholder engagement, and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement and monitor SHERQ frameworks and systems across operations
Drive compliance with ISO standards (9001, 14001, OHSAS 18001)
Lead risk mitigation strategies and ensure zero harm
Develop and roll out occupational wellness programmes
Analyse SHE data to identify trends and improve safety performance
Guide and mentor SHERQ Officers, uplifting capability across teams
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Bachelor''s degree in Mining Engineering, Chemistry, Safety, or similar
Minimum 5 years’ SHERQ experience in a mining or explosives environment
Proven experience in ISO implementation and compliance
Strong leadership and team development skills
Solid understanding of ESG practices
Process Safety Certificate (advantageous)
