POSITION INFO:
SHIFT SUPERVISOR/EAST LONDON (IDZ) - We are seeking a dependable and proactive Shift Supervisor to oversee our clients team operations during allocated shifts. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, a calm demeanour under pressure, and the ability to keep the shift running smoothly, efficiently, and safely.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or team leader role.
Strong interpersonal, decision-making, and time management skills.
Conflict resolution and people management experience.
Working knowledge of safety and operational procedures.
Reliable, accountable, and confident in leading a team.
Basic PC literacy and familiarity with Excel (entry-level).
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, support, and motivate staff to meet shift objectives.
Communicate clearly with team members and management.
Make informed decisions quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Manage shift schedules, tasks, and priorities effectively.
Address and resolve conflicts or staff issues professionally.
Ensure workplace safety standards are consistently upheld.
Step in and adapt to changes or staff shortages when required.
Take full responsibility for shift performance and reporting.
Use basic computer systems and excel for shift logs and reports.
Expected shifts below;
Shift hours = 8
Total per week. 40
Shifts structure.
- 06:00-14:00,14:00-22:00,22:00-06:00.
- (Weekend shift work 06:00-18:00 / 18:00 – 06:00) based on demand, highly probable.
- When working any shift hours between 14:00-06:00 during normal hours, the employee will receive a R40.00 transport allowance per shift.
- When working any hours between 14:00-06:00, the employee will receive a 10%-night shift allowance per hour worked.
Hourly Rate: R55.98 (± R9,700 per month based on standard full-time hours)
