SMI 18574 - Senior Commercial Underwriter (Engineering Insurance) – UMA/Insurer Background

Our client is seeking a Senior Commercial Underwriter to join their team.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Commercial Lines Manager, with exposure to EXCO-level engagement in Johannesburg.

You will be responsible for:

• Commercial underwriting within engineering insurance portfolios
• Handling UMA and/or insurer-based underwriting processes
• Managing day-to-day underwriting operations within a commercial book
• Engaging in risk assessment and policy structuring
• Supporting business underwriting requirements in line with insurer standards
• Liaising with internal stakeholders and senior management
