SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

You will manage and prioritise development tasks through the effective deployment of resources and efficient workload allocation. Lead a team of developers to drive innovation and ensuring that Business IT Systems requirements are sufficiently developed.

Primary responsibilities:

• Analyse and solve any software development problems identified by the business and stakeholders through the management & coordination of the development team.
• Manage, monitor, and control the analysis, design, implementation, and execution of software development within the development team.
• Extend and maintain existing and new software systems and services according to business needs.
• Continuously improve code quality, system design, and processes.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand and implement complex requirements according to their needs.
• Leading the development team in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of all applications.
• Managing all the activities of the software development team and set goals for each team member to ensure timely project delivery.
• Keep up to date with the latest development software.
• Training of new developers and multi-skilling of the development team.
• Provide guidance to the team and ensure they adhere to development standards set.
• Ensure proper documentation of any fixes and development work done.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• A proven track record of at least 5 years of hands-on experience with C# / .net and/or .net Core.
• Extensive experience in developing, deploying & integrating software solutions.
• 4 - 5 years experience in managing, leading, coaching, and developing a development team.
• Experience with C#, Docker, Angular, Flutter, Node.js, Java, PostgreSQL, Web API (JSON) and AWS.
• Excellent problem solving, analytical & communication skills.
• Previous experience in Financial Services, Banking, or Fintech will be advantageous.
