SQL DBA

SUMMARY:
Our client is Durban is looking for an SQL DBA.  The DBA role will be the administrator of organisational databases, install, upgrade, administer, monitor, maintain, and secure systems.  Must ensure the overall health of the systems and take all reasonable steps to ensure data is secure, readily available, protected from loss or corruption and easily accessible as needed by the business.  Our client is open to remote work.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Engineering or Science Degree
• SQL or related certification
• Minimum 5 years experience in :
• Database Design Skills – OLTP/ Data Warehouse
• DataBase Management System/s
• Database Administration / Data warehousing. Data Analytics
• Software Installation and Maintenance
• Data Extraction, Transformation, and Loading (ETL)
• Specialised Data Handling
• Database Backup and Recovery
• Security & Authentication
• Capacity Planning
• Performance Monitoring & Database Tuning
