About:

The environment in which the person is going to operate is an extremely high pressured, on the go BAU support area where early mornings and late evenings are sometimes required. The environment is highly complex with much integration between systems that are core to our business. The is a mix of legacy technology with some new technology. The resource will need to think on their feet and respond quickly to incoming issues, challenges, queries and really needs to be a self-starter, explorer and want to build their own understanding of how things work. Problem solving, fire-fighting is a core requirement.

Technical skills the resource will require are rooted in the following technologies:

• Deep understanding of SQL, preferably in a SQL Server environment
• Deep understanding of SSIS
• Some understanding of C#, and possess the ability to build services
• Understanding of web development beneficial

You will work with a team of 3 developers, whose predominant skill is SQL. You will supplement this with your breadth of experience across other technology stacks. This is a maintenance environment where solving problems are paramount. There is a level of system enhancements that will be made out of the team. It would be ideal that the resource comes from a BAU maintenance and support environment and not a projects space.
