SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Management of the Supply Chain Management section to ensure efficient and effective service delivery in respect of:
  • Procurement of goods and services
  • Implementation of financial controls and efficiency
  • Bids and Contracts Management
  • Inventory Control
  • Supplier and Enterprise Development
• Review and analyze the organization’s procurement in terms of cost effectiveness, delivery lead times, product performance, and inventory management.
• Prepare reports for management and represent the Supply Chain section in all forums
• Develop policies, implement Supply Chain Systems and enhancements to ensure efficiency in SCM processes
• Liaise with National Treasury on matters relating to Supply Chain Management
• Ensure that all National Treasury Instructions , Directives are implemented across the organisation
• Arrange and ensure all SCM policies, process, and guidelines are being followed in line with regulations (PPPFA, BBBEE, PFMA etc.) and arrange all necessary training for SCM regulations
• Ensure the implementation of all applicable policies, Enterprise and Supplier Development and the organization’s BBBEE strategy
• Ensure proper records management in the section.
• Engage with Internal and External Auditors for the provision of information and attend to audit queries where required.
• Ensure the section’s Risk Register is updated and that Action items are implemented within time frames.
• Guidance, performance management and supervision of staff within the section.
