SUMMARY:
SWIFT Security Specialist Engineer

POSITION INFO:

The main purpose of this position is to design, implement, secure and maintain solutions in support of the payments system and SWIFT environment, with a focus on information and cybersecurity.

Job requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must be in possession of:

a minimum of a National Diploma (NQF 6) in Information and Communications Technology (ICT);
SWIFT and cybersecurity certifications;
Network, AIX, Linux and MQ certifications (will be an added advantage); and
five to seven years’ experience in SWIFT and information security environments.

Additional requirements include:

quality assurance knowledge and skill;
continuous improvement knowledge and skill;
continued learning and/or professional development;
business continuity planning knowledge and skill;
infrastructure design and development knowledge and skill;
networking infrastructure, security and support knowledge and skill;
system integration and specialisation; and
a strong understanding of the business and operational aspects related to the payments system and SWIFT environment and associated applications, including security requirements.
