SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

POSITION INFO:
RESPONSIBILITIES Monitor, maintain, and optimise on-premises servers, storage, and network infrastructure so that everything stays available, fast, and aligned with business needs. Manage network components (firewalls, switches, routers, and VPNs) and cloud resources, with a strong focus on security and compliance. Run proactive patch management, updates, and troubleshooting to prevent issues before they impact the business. Own backup, disaster recovery, and restore processes - including regular testing - to protect critical data and meet business continuity and regulatory requirements. Apply cybersecurity controls, with vulnerability assessments, and respond to incidents in line with our established procedures and timelines. Act as the key escalation point above Tier 1 support for complex infrastructure issues and manage secure user access, account provisioning, and onboarding\/offboarding processes. REQUIREMENTS National Senior Certificate or equivalent to NQF 4. 5 years of experience in an IT environment, of which minimum 3 years as Systems Administrator. MCSA and CCNA Certification. VMware and VEEAM Certification. Extensive server, virtualisation, backups and network experience. Valid RSA Driver's License with own transport.
