SYSTEMS MANAGER - AGRICULTURE

SUMMARY:
Hopetown Area – Northern Cape: The successful candidate will support the Managing Director in ensuring the business operations of both the nut orchard and factory are highly efficient, optimized, and compliant with the latest organic and food safety standards.

POSITION INFO:

Our client has nut trees under irrigation and a processing facility which shells and packages all their nuts for export sales.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Agricultural Diploma / Degree high advantageous
• Min of 2+ years’ experience in irrigation farm systems and management
• Min of 2+ years’ experience in food safety systems (HACCP/BRC)
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Fluency in both Afrikaans and English
• Comfortable in small team environments and remote location
• Highly detail-oriented
• 70% computer-based work; 30% hands-on work
• Creative, solution-orientated type personality

Duties including but not limited to:

Orchard

• Orchard systems management
• Irrigation scheduling
• Harvesting support

Factory

• Factory systems management
• General factory support
• BRC management and auditing
• EOS, NOP and Bio Suisse audits
• Product and environmental monitoring testing
• Processing data and forecasting
• Logistics for exports, and related documentation
