JOB SUMMARY:
My client, an established manufacturing plant with a key focus in the mining industry, seeks to employ an experienced SHE Manager with experience in both manufacturing and mining industries. Position is based in the East Rand, Gauteng.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Role requirements:

To lead, develop, maintain and implement all SHE requirements for the company
Work with management to ensure SHE requirements are maintained
Conduct regular training and inspections
Maintain and implement SHE related legislation (new and existing)
To investigate accidents and ensure all documentation is updated and filed
Full responsibility for Company preparations for annual H&S audits
Advise management of health, safety and environmental matters and manage this process to ensure all advice is incorporated into day to day processes and operations
Provide support and expertise to management in incident investigation and reporting
Conduct occupational health and safety related surveys e.g. noise, lighting, exposure to chemical substances, etc and make associated recommendations
Annual SHE action plan and road map

Requirements:

Related qualifications in SHE in a manufacturing environment
5 - 6 years experience in a similar environment and role
