Safety Manager

SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:
Position: Safety Manager (SACPCMP)
Location: East Rand, Gauteng
Salary Range: R 30 000.00 – R 33 000.00 CTC pm
 
The successful incumbent will be responsible for:

• To coordinate and supervise the implementation Occupational H & S program, designed to prevent injury, occupational illness, and damage to property
• Maintain safety related manuals, including distribution of appropriate updates
• Plans & Schedules in health and safety
• Maintain register and data base of employee safety training, medical examinations, licenses, and certifications
• Conducted Site inspections
• Identify potential hazards and safety issues and assist Supervisor to deal with at the site level if not able then escalated to next level of management
• Conducting Sub-Contractor Health and Safety Audits to ensure that all the required minimum documents for a Safety File is handed in at the Safety Department and they are monitored or update time to time
• Compile Audit Action Tracking Register Reports and Weekly Reports with the corrective action and deviation taken
• Maintaining Keeping Records on the Incidents registers
• Conducting of Health and Safety committee Meetings and the Sub-Contractors Meetings including construction meetings
• Calculation of man-hours and updating the stats for the Project
• Ordering and controlling issuing of PPE and safety materials
• Issuing of Work Permits to area Supervisors for performing critical activities
