POSITION INFO:

A well-established company is looking for a Safety Officer to be based at a mining site in Lydenburg.

Salary is negotiable

This is a contract position and the duration is based on the project requirements.Â

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor health and safety procedures
• Compile a SHE File
• Conduct Risk Assessment
• Assist with risk identification and evaluation
• Increase health and safety awareness in the workplace
• Arrange SHE meetings and be part of the meeting
• Conduct toolbox talk every morning
• Assessing of hazards and analysing of risks

Requirements

• Matric
• Section 13 trade or mining qualification (i.e Blasting certificate or similar)
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience
• Must be medically fit and have a clear criminal record
• Driver’s license
