SUMMARY:
Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Safety Officer on a Contract or Fixed-Term Contract basis, must have SACPCMP

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Construction Regulations. Conduct site safety inspections, audits and risk assessments. Implement and monitor health and safety policies and procedures. Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions. Maintain accurate safety records and compliance documentation. Promote a strong safety culture across site operations. Minimum Requirements: Registered as a Construction Health and Safety Officer (CHSO) with SACPCMP (non-negotiable). Sound knowledge of the Construction Regulations, 2014 and OHS Act. Experience on construction, industrial or manufacturing projects. Excellent communication, reporting and problem-solving skills. Important Compliance Requirement: Effective 1 September 2026, only SACPCMP-registered Construction Health and Safety Officers (CHSOs) may be appointed to perform Safety Officer duties on construction sites, in accordance with Regulation 8(6) of the Construction Regulations, 2014. Candidates who are not registered with SACPCMP as a CHSO will not be considered.
